GRAPHICS AND ACTION CAPTIONS

Graphics lead to a more profound and accurate understanding of presented material. They affect the emotions of the viewer and have the ability to grab attention. Effective use of a combination of graphics and words can make a huge difference in the reception of the proposal. But this is possible only if graphics and action captions are used appropriately.  It is important to know when, where and how to use graphics. Write action captions and conceptualize graphics before rendering. Define the message as an action caption and conceptualize the action caption as a diagram after which get it to the final design.

Best Practices

Every aesthetic decision should have a purpose. Use aesthetically balanced tools. The design is also an important factor. Follow simple styling and keep it consistent.  This ensures that the graphics is done in an aesthetically sensitive way. The balance is an important aspect when it comes to aesthetic elements like graphics and design. The shape that you choose gives you a totally different perception. Another  important factor that determines the success of the proposal is  the proper use of templates. Create your own design templates even before you start designing the elements.

The  validation of graphics can be done in two ways, validation on content and validation on graphics. In validation on content, you analyse whether your graphic clearly sells your content and in validation on graphics, you check whether it is aesthetically balanced. The file format need to be chosen with utmost care. It is important to know the difference between the various formats and choose the right one that is suitable for your particular proposal which in turn will ensure consistency. Copyright is a major concern especially if you take images from other sources. Make sure that you don’t get stuck in the copyright principles.
